Plus a $1500 core charge ,
you think they will take these heads for a core ?
Both heads lost the end cylinder intake seats

Arrington will negotiate core charges. When I bought my heads I bought a cheap pair from ebay gave them as core. The short blocl I bought I told them I'd give them $600 for core and they accepted. And now there are Edelbrock heads available with no core charge. I also have a pair of maxxed out RLD 6.1 heads that I have a ridiculous amount invested in that I'll let go cheap with no core charge. Good head is addictive... ;)

Good head has gotten me in quite some trouble over the yrs.. I’m just curious if I read it right on my previous post an that’s the initial charge? Shoot me a pm about them 6.1s

I think redtrucks heads are worth looking into
These are for the serious addicted, I have over $3,200 in these 6.1 based heads including having them flow tested. Anyone interested in them can pm me a offer.

I found a couple other guys that had clearance problems with the Manley Timing Set , they may have that cleared up by now but why take the chance,
I ordered the Howards Timing Set, Howards Cams #94332 , should be here in a week.

I've been out of town the past week , the last thing I did before leaving was to get the motor on the stand, visual inspection looks good.

and I'm back !!!

Checking piston deck clearance ,
Looking like +.001" to -.001 pretty consistent,
This is using the piston pin axis measuring method.
Had a couple things show up at my door while I was gone .
Photos later today !

I don't remember which spring I used. I read the higher pressure spring was for 6.1 blocks with oilers. Of course I had to take it apart and pretty sure I used the heavier spring even though I don't jave oilers.

Note: higher the pressure more hp to turn the pump....

Yeah, I haven't decided yet , but it's between the 60 psi and 65 psi springs, kinda leaning toward the 60 psi ,
But I always invite everyone's opinion
