Well waited around and it FINALLY showed up !! WOOHOO
This is what ATK's crating looks like , not the greatest but adequate, the engines are protected in a thick plastic bag at least, and if have a concrete driveway you can get away with moving it around on a dolly like this .

I asked for the build specs to be included :
I received :
The Balancing info on the crank

ATK's break-in procedure , 2 pages worth , good info , all of which I know , but at my age it's that they have written so I don't forget something .

and some stickers (ATK) (Mahle) (Scat) ..... owwww ahhhh

It looks like the block has been decked (milled) but by how much ??

One the extra's that I requested was ARP Main Studs & cross bolts....
And being the trusting sole I am , I emailed them twice for confirmation that they were in fact using ARP main studs & cross bolts ..

Confirmed !!!!

I can see the ARP 12 point cross bolts

It's just a little bigger than a 6.1L cam ,

What head’s are you using? In my opinion you will be very disappointed if you stay with the stock heads.

Our hemi's in general respond well to head upgrades and stroker's especially like big heads.

As far as heads , well I was just going to use a set I picked up for spares ,
pre 09 5.7 heads 85cc , I ported the exhaust sides out , so as to get a little better flo , now I find out my machinist want's $50 a holes for new seats.
Is that inline with what you guys are paying ?
And think I can get away with just doing the Intake Seats ?

OW and one of my machinist guys said to just use the new mopar performance castings ($400+each), they don't even bother with the old castings (seat problems)

My machine shop tested my heads by putting them in their oven and heated them up then letting them rapidly cool off. No seats dropped out so they are supposedly good to go. That’s normally when the seats drop is if the heads get over heated

That's interesting , I guess you trust it , your running them .
The scenario I'm afraid of, and have heard of, is getting off the freeway for a quick pitstop, like 1 or 2 minutes , go to fire it up and BANG !
I have heard of that happening , more than once on the various forums .
Heat soaking the heads once the engine is turned off.

It's hit or miss with the older heads, by 06 it was supposed to be fixed, the Supplier of the seats had QC issues, the outside Dia was under sized.

The 1st 05 Head I cut open to look at the passages.....what was Cylinder 5 intake seat fell out while I was cut the head in half between #3 and #5....

$50 a hole is about right at least around here on the east coast.

I am going to do a little more research on the heads ...........
One thing that does not transfer over from the stock rebuild is the pan gasket/windage tray , it either needs to be modified or one of the stroker ones used. I see a few available including:

Modern Muscle MMP-HSCWT, 4 variations
Milodon #32010

Question: What windage tray/pan gasket have you guys used on your 392 strokers ?

I used the stock tray. Just bolted it and the pan on, slowly rotated the engine over, and then took the tray out. Then used a ball peen hammer to reform the metal in the areas the piston scrapes
