Yes, everything gets cut back for clearance. The biggest tires I can run are 14" wide. I bought the rims a while back and have too much invested in them to dump them. The building steps should be, cut the bed. Narrow the axle. Then order rims and tires. This would allow you to maximize the tire/rim combo. I screwed up by keeping the wide axle, ordering rims then cutting the bed. Live and learn...

Both fenders are cut out. Frame is trimmed. Little more trimming and fitting and red will be ready to get welded up. This about done! Arthritis has taken its toll on my hands with this project. Got a pair of 15x10 billets being redrilled for 9/16 studs and a manual vb coming.. then testing and finally off to the body shop. I never park near other cars and I still find the odd ding.. strange... IMO...

Actually this is a coverup for buying tires that didnt fit. I originally had no intentions of changing suspension and doing the mini tub. Actually I think I posted that I wouldn't do it. But once I saw the tires, I couldnt help myself...

Rides like a Cadillac... very compliant.. put her on a slab and measured the fender height and its dead on 32" at the arch.. Believe Im going to like this. Lit the tires on the way back and it ran straight and true... I'm tired of working on this sucker for awhile....

So you have your new supercharger and suspension ready? When will you get some track time?

Thanks, I could certainly use all the help I can get. Pulled the bed first thing after getting to the shop and started tacking and fitting the pieces. We're about 3/4 the way done. I left red at the shop and will finish the welding tomorrow. IMO it's going to be pretty good. Meaning if you arent paying close attention you won't notice anything changed. Got the BLV bung welded on the charge pipe. Cut a hole in the bed side, Christof style.. Driving the truck, it feels like its on rails with a tight sway bar. Think I'll raise it a touch. This all is close to completion.....

I need dot approved tires for Saturday. No one made any suggestions so I ordered MTT 6642 tires fom Summit. These should fit comfortably in the fenders. They are big, but not sure how sticky they are....
