I think the heads flow so good that the Hemi has to have some back pressure to run great all around. :thumb:
I don't believe back pressure ever builds power. But on the hemi, it does seems very sensitive to velocity. Any disturbance and the lower range power suffers. Red may be even more sensitive with the bv ported heads. Anyway I now know what doesn't work and the off road y pipe does a good job so I won't be pushing that rock up a hill any longer.

Installed the new intercooler pump, so now waiting for bits and pieces to finish that mod. The maggy is suppose to be here tomorrow, but either way the single Aero will go on first for a test. If still too loud then I'll try the Maggy. Then onto the shifter.

Changed the oil today, I noticed it was darker than what I'm use to seeing. Will be checking it closers in the future. No doubt the SC is harder on the engine. Had a bit of a surprise when I went to put oil back in the engine. No fill tube.... duh
Pulled the breather off and found the really nice custom billet fitting has a restrictor machined into it. So removed it and drilled out the plate turning a $45 dollar piece into a $15 dollar one. Of course it still needs a long funnel to reach it. No single item can be modified without having to change a half dozen other things. Great fun!

Greg, the fitting you got was a preproduction Moroso breather. My production breather fittings have no restrictor in them and for that reason and look exactly the same. If you want one let me know.
Joe, I appreciate your offer, but it is all good now. I might contact you later about what developments you have made on the Manifold to enhance performance. But I don't have any complaints associated with the manifold. I'll have my exhaust back on track in a day or two and then continue tuning. Will consider port matching if it is beneficial.
Thanks,

Going to the shop in the morning, excited to see how the single Aero does on the y pipe.

Let's hope so.. I mean still trying to figure out what logic am I using that one muffler is quieter than two. ???

Reinstalled the Y pipe using just one Aero muffler dumped in front of the rear axle.. The sound smoothed down considerably. Of course it's still crazy loud when leaned on. But it's ok going down the road. I can also install the Magnaflow without modifying anything. It'll just plug in.. The case on the Magnaflow is 30" long which is about a foot longer than the Aero.

Going to try to get to the shop again tomorrow to assemble some pieces for the floor shifter. I want to make it somewhat adjustable for tilt and angle. It'll be raised about 5 inches off the floor.

I'll offer you one of my brackets again, it's no big deal to whip one up.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm still figuring out what I what. I did get some materials and now I just need to work out the details. I'm thinking about making it adjustable with a pivot.

Past a truck on the two lane coming home using partial throttle on pre-boost. Pulls hard, but is incredibly loud. I didn't like it. I prefer a much lower profile when rolling around. Put the Big *** Magnaflow on this morning and IMO it's perfect. Probably way to quiet for most of you. ;)
