Well the HEMI part is obvious. FLASH is a military thing. I'm a C-130 Flight Engineer in the Air Force, and my last name is Gordon, so it didn't take long before I was given the call sign "Flash". For anyone who doesn't get it, Flash Gordon was a comic book super hero a long time ago, and they made a horrible movie, and now there is a really horrible tv show about him.

When I first got on the net it was Monz78. I had a Pro Street 78 Monza. I used that name for years after the car was gone.
So at the time I had a extreme 88 S-10 Blazer.
The plate on it was XTRMES10. Which I now still use on all the S-10 sites.
Then when I built my Pro Street Trans Am. The plate on it says. XTRME TA. I use that one on all the F-body sites I'm on.
So when I bought my first Hemi Ram I couldn't think of anything to go with Xtrmes so that was it.

When I deployed to Turkey in support of ONW I was 6'2" @ 200lbs. After 60+ days of tent city and much hooch hopping I came home weighing a few pounds heavier. This trend continued until 2006 (230lbs) when I got stationed in Korea. The Air Force PT program said I was overweight and I needed to hit the gym and stop eating pot pies and hotdogs. I have been dropping weight ever since. The name really doesn't fit anymore but, that is what I have used for so long.
I was called Buddha belly and Big John back then. I put the two together to come up with Big Budda. Why did I drop the "h" in Buddha? Just because.

I always liked the cookie monster.
