I've seen a lot of names on the forum and can't figure out what some of them mean. I decided I'd start this thread so we can share the meaning of our names. Some are obvious, others are cryptic. I'll start.
440Sixpak: I'm betting most of you know what it refers to. Back in the late 60s and early 70s, Chrysler had a RB engine (big-block) that was 440 cubes. There were a few different versions, but the nicest one came with three two-barrel carbs ("SixPack" for Dodge and "6BBL" for Plymouth)). One of the features that made them easy to tune was the fact that the carbs weren't linked mechanically like TriPower and the like. They used vacuum to open up the secondaries. Anyone familiar with these engines knows that a well-tuned 440 6bbl will run circles around a 426 street Hemi. Although I love anything with the Elephant motor, I'm kinda partial to the 440...hence my forum name.
What's yours mean???
