Do you have a power steering pressure sensor? If so you might consider the High Idle Mod or just pulling the plug on it for a while to give the PCM a chance to learn.

yea tyler i was worried it wasnt gonna run. an Greg honestly idk if i do but i remember Stu messing with my truck an he would prob know lol or i can look for it if you tell me.

It's a two wire pressure switch down low off of the power steering pump easiest seen from the bottom driver side.

You need to drive it a little every day for the pcm to make adjustments to the engine and trans settings. It will get better.

To be honest Mario, never really looked at Greg's high idle mod. You could show us again Greg.:thumb::thumb: Please, include pics Greg.

Maybe this will clarify some.

Here is some information about the “03 High Idle Mod”. It will work on any model that has a power steering pump pressure switch. The pressure switch is “normally closed”, when high pressure is sensed the switch opens and the PCM rises the idle to 630-650 rpm warmed up and 800 rpm when cold. If the electrical plug is not connected (two wire) to the pressure switch, the PCM see’s a open condition and rises the idle. This condition is normally seen when conducting Parking Maneuvers at idle and rising the idle keeps the engine from stalling. A test on your vehicle can be done by unplugging the pressure sensor and shorting and opening the connection at the plug. You will see the idle raising and then lowering back to normal (525).
Parts needed for the mod is a RPM Window Switch, Standard Automotive Relay and some wire and connectors to put it together. I used a Granatelli Dual Window switch so I could install one window switch and have it control two functions.

I mounted mine so I could reach it while still seeing the dash making adjusting it easier.
I can pop the cover off and hold it in my hands when making adjustments.

This is a crude drawing but shows the connections.

This is the power panel with relays mounted for various stuff including the High Idle Mod relay.

Hope this helps…

After driving an old 4cyl 5spd ranger the last few weeks(really don't mind to be honest) an then going back to the hemi boy the ram feels so nice. I came home from work tonight an took it for a drive an it just feel so nice inside LOL. Til I get inside tylers hahaha.

Tho i did spin leaving the house. 75lb tq to 320lb tq is quite a difference.

Any idea as to what was/is goin on with your trans Mario?

I drive Aprils Saturn most of the time. Then getting into the truck for a little drive is such a treat.:thumb::thumb::thumb: Green at the stop light in the Saturn. Most everyone can pull away from me while under normal acceleration. Different story in the truck. Can keep the truck at 8 to 10" vacuum(no boost) from the green light and easily pull away from everyone. :smitten:
