Every time someone has reported a PO868 it's been tune related that I can recall. This is first I've heard someone with a sonnax saying it's causing the code. And it's been being used for quite awhile now with a lot of people using them. Weird!!! Like I said I'm running one and also have a 550rpm idle. No Code's!

When I ran the 545 I used various line boosters over the years and only got the code once when I built a home brew that was a hybrid of the Sonnax and Transgo. But my idle has always been 625+. This could be a bad Line Pressure sensor that isn't reading right to begin with and when a line booster is added sends it out of parameter.

Hard to say in this case. Highly modified motor, highly modified trans. and all on a 4.7 PCM. There may be more than normal coming into play in Jame's case.
I keep think my truck is stock. There's probably some truth to that.

lolol Too funny Jame's. I would almost think it couldn't happen in your case. (to low line pressure) Being your running higher pressure built in to your modified stage 3 and a sonnax. Something don't sound right. Maybe like Greg said or a crazy 4.7 PCM. lolol

That's how it works, the Sonnax reduces the signal to the TCM. TCM see's low pressure and sends a modulated signal back the tran's electronically controlled pressure regulator raising the pressure.

True I have never had a code until after the tune. I ran the sonax and a diablo canned tune for maybe about 6 months no issue. Then custom tune and boom. Code

Put the new sonnax on today and i think the clunk is back. Maybe my trans hated the sonnax??

Something might be on the way out inside also possobly
hm possibly, I know I have had a little bit of it here and there then came out when I started modding it. It does have a trailer hitch in the bed so it was used to tow before. Maybe it Is just a bad valve body?

A goose neck usually means large trailer with a lot of weight being towed. If you want to check your trans get the clutch volumes measured and that will tell how badly they are worn. If the line booster is causing issues I'd leave it off.

yeah I think I am going to leave it off for now and see how she does for a little. Maybe take the truck to the trans shop to get them to take a look at it. Or maybe the dealer? Which would be the best you think?

Ugh, yeah that's what I'm thinking as well.

Keith could best answer that question, but a trusted mechanic with the right equipment would be my choice. I don't much care for the dealers.
