I have a 1500 5.7 with about 700 miles on the truck.Sometimes after warming up the engine clicks just a little for a short time then stops. Also seems like the rearend is making a little noise.I bought the extra 100,000 bumper to bumper with the truck 500 deductable.Just how good is it or does it depend on the dealer ?

The dealer always is the variable. But The warranty is technically a good deal.

Just remember, the deductible (if its through Chrysler) is per visit. Not per problem. So if you are going to bring it in, and its not an emergency, wait and take it in for a few or many issues at the same time. Save on that deductible. :thumb:

I did not realize that.Thank you sir,it will be hooked to a wrecker when it returns.

Hi All,

On that my dealer did me good. I got a 75000 or 72 month bumper to bumper that is nationally supported with a $50 deductible for a little over $2000. I figure there are any hiccups between now and then it will have paid for itself. Plus it adds to the resale as it transfers with the truck. COstGard I believe is the issuer.

Deductible??????????
Tui, here lots of insurance has what is called a deductible. Higher the deductible the cheaper the insurance. The deductible is what the owner pays out of pocket per incident or visit. IMO, it is all a rip off and a total waste of money.

Hi Redtruck,

I forgot to mention that the $50 deductible is a disappearing deductible. It is paid once per incident and then if you have to bring it in again for the same issue it is waived.
Blow out a control module in these newer trucks and that buy-in price seems cheap.

Thanks for that Greg. here we call it "The excess" on insurance. Here its generally around $500 and the more claims you make the more expensive premiums become. insurance is a ripoff all right but one is stuffed without it. here its not compulsory to have vehicle insurance and there are vast numbers of uninsured vehicles on the road making for chaos if one of them hits you.
