just get a set of HID lights and put them in the factory lenses.

That's what I did and then adjusted them down so as not to blind other drivers....when I first installed them every other vehicle would flash their brights at me. I adjusted them to the correct height and haven't been flashed once in a year. I have 35w 6k in my low beams and 55w 12k in my fog lights. I have the fogs smoked so the 12k fogs ends up being the same color as the 6k lows

Personally I like using super bright lighting behind the grille which is switched on/off as I need it :dance:.

My 06' took H13 bulbs in the headlights and 9006 in the fogs. Don't forget to get the relay harness if you go with the HID's.
