Looks like it's between Hot Springs and Fort Worth with a sway towards Hot Springs. But I agree, we need to get it going, especially the dates so I can ask off work.

I agree. It looks like the sway is Hot Springs. Do we plan on June again this year? It is cooler temps than July, August or September but still warm enough to swim for the pools and water amusement areas or even lake attractions. I can research for hotel group rates if you want me too once we get exact dates going. I just request if I may not to plan the dates for the weeks of June 6 or 20th because I have to process payroll on Mondays of those weeks. I process payroll bi-weekly. But then again it is not ALL about me......lol. Let's do what is best for everyone. We just need to get the ball rolling for those working folks that have to put their vacation requests in.

I'm hoping for a better response once we finalize when & where. But sadly, our last couple of rallies that has been about the participation.
But hey, the cool kids will be there!!!

I same name the date you like and we'll start from there.
Okay. Let's start with June 12 - 18, 2022. I could get group rates for that Sunday through Saturday. That would give extra days for people that would like to come earlier and/or stay later. In case there would be events going on over the weekends that people might want to attend.

I get three returns in a search for Hot Springs. What State is the Hot Springs we are looking at? :giggle:

My leave request was approved today!!! It pays to be one of the 3 people that show up for work when it's snowing in Texas. 😇
We have been short staffed at my work too but I am determined to go in....lol. I got my vacation requested approved too! Jerry still has to turn his request in but there should not be a problem. I found a really cool condo/hotel the website is Los Lagos at Hot Springs Village | Hot Springs Village, AR | Accommodations In order to get a better discount for a group everyone would have to book the exact same type of room but I didn't think the rates were all that bad. The Studio would be $99 a night, 1 Bedroom Elite at $109. These are full suites that include living room and kitchen. Plus the Resort amenities of Onsite Parking, Common Terrace/Patio, Clubhouse, Picnic Area, BBQ Grills, Playground, Lake Access, Onsite Fishing, Fitness Facility, Volleyball court, walking/hiking trails, Outdoor Pool, Outdoor Spa Tub, Video Library and Laundry Facilities.

That looks really good, Michelle!! Hot Springs Village is where Morris stays but not at this resort (he hasn't heard of it, which means nothing).

Did you guys miss me?!

We may not be able to come down the whole time but we might be able to come down the last couple of days. We are taking our vacation May 18-23 to Orlando. Plus the 12th we will be coming back from Joplin from a football camp for Braxton, and we are taking a few days for that. But do not count on us, but we can try. Garry and I loved Hot Spring when we were down there a couple years ago.

I am working with several different hotels on group rates. I am waiting on responses back from all of them before I share with all of you. I am working quickly though because some of them are telling me that they are filling up. I am thinking that everyone is ready to travel again. Stay tuned!!!!!

I am finding good group rates on hotels. I am waiting on a couple more before I let you all know. So far we have a variety of hotels either on the lake, some with kitchens in the room. One of the oldest hotels from 1920's is in the center of all the action. Al Capone used to stay in this hotel when he would visit. I got a great rate but I think we might withdraw from this one because the rooms are very small with small bathrooms and the only size beds are full size. The Group Rep I am working with told me that the hotel is strictly historical and no modern updates he told me that we have to remember that in the 1920's the rooms were very small and to keep the experience everything is left the same. The parking lot is small and they use a parking valet. Jerry said "No Way, I am not handing my truck keys over to a hotel employee"...lol. They do not have breakfast either but they do have a restaurant (high priced). It is the Arlington Hotel. I have plenty other hotels we can pick from. When I get all the rates together with amenities I will post them. I just didn't want you to think that I forgot.

The Arlington is very nice and in the center of everything like you said, but I don't think it would meet our needs at all. Especially with parking situation. Thanks for all you are doing for us!!
