03 turbo build.

Hey guys new here, been checking this site out and never knew it existed and it's a bad *** site. Ok I have some questions, I have an 03 that I've been buying parts for building a front mount turbo setup on, but I've had a lot of health, work, and family related set backs that have held me from doing any building. Currently the truck has;
•Inertia 214/218 114lsa cam
•P&P milled performance heads
•Pro billet edge 3400 converter
•flexalite efan
•pacesetter long tubes
•03 trany mods line booster/tmr
-Best 1/4 of 14.2285@93.31


Ill give you a list of things I've acquired over the past year
•Two turbos GT4202 1.28 a/r hot side and a PT80 .96a/r
•Precision wastegate 66mm 7.2 psi spring
•Tial 50mm BOV
•Treadstone vertical flow intercooler
•4" Borla XR-1 muffler
•4.10 gears
•Cal-tracs
•4l80e still deciding on programmer
•B&M Stealth Pro shifter for ^
•Building all my own manifolds and intercooler piping

•I'm on a stock bottom end and I'm looking to run 7psi(w/g spring), what injectors should I run?
•should I upgrade anything else in my fuel system(I'd like to run E-85)?
•Tuning.... once I build my other engine ill be running a 230's duration cam cam, and have the 4l80e transmission, should I convert to a manual 05's pcm?(ive heard the iEMS-3 dosnt do well with big cams...

If your running the 4l80e having the PCM flashed to a manual is the trick allows the eng to run fine with the manualy shifted trans (Otneil) has done it running a t56 in his truck had it flashed like you want to

The turbo manifold will likely have to be made like "ghost03hemi" is out of schedule 40 so it doesn't crack like his has a few times

Srt4 injectors should cut it on 93oct or a set of 03/04 cobra injectors on e85 I use 03/04 cobra injectors on my 392 s/c 10psi setup so they should be good for e85 on a stock 5.7 at 7psi

As for fuel pump a minimum of a 255 for safety on 93 oct and a walbro 400lph if you wanted to run e85 since you will need alot more fuel

I'm an 03 I either will run a 03 manual tcm and tune with iEMS3 or convert my truck to a manual 05 pcm just really wondering which will be better for my tuning the tranny isn't the big deal.

This is the setup I did to my truck when I had factory rails very simple setup only thing that needs changing in the steps is dont drill the basket still remove the clips but don't drill the basket and the 400 fits right in there

For you truck being an 03 you will likely have to get an 05 assembly to do it like I did or make the factory regulator hole you have work haven't really seen the top of an 03 basket yet in person

OP, you are getting the very best information from those that have experience. IMO, the tuning is the real problem with the 03 or any other year for that matter. Nice street manners is hard to come by. Get your tuning strategy set up before going forward will make life much easier for you.
What tuning are you currently using?

If you plan on truly making a fast Dodge truck, plan to completely scrap every piece of Chrysler engine control and go with a full standalone setup. Dodge truck PCMs are untunable for big power, end of story.

OP, you might read through my Megasquirt thread were I attempted to do a stand alone tuner on my 03. I would have done better IMO if I had done the trans conversion first. It is now removed and I'm back on the OEM PCM with just the High Idle Mod, I recently tried a Split Second Cam Tuner and it didn't respond as advertise. I believe I have a high fuel pressure issue now and won't really work on it again until I get back from vacation.

I have a 03 with a t 70 turbo hit me up if you in STL I'm interested in a trans swap I'm on trans#4 I'm happy with my tuning after 2 years of r&d but can't get the trans to hold the power I don't know how much power I'm making now but with stock injectors and a diablosport predator I ran a 13.48 at99 6psi with correct tuning fuel pump, map and injectors at 6psi it made a huge difference no times yet

im using aem 320lph fuel pump 62#injector dynamics injectors srt map tuned by diablotoona just got new 4.56 gears not install yet.my trans was rebuilt by a shop here in town first time they said they beefed it up second time said it would hold but i burn cluches out but ive been using there custom converter when the last trans worked it worked awsome but let go on the hiway while testing with overdrive off and trans temp around 230 but i have raced from a roll wich is not good at all on that trans but its fun

my pump is intank you want the map beware more than one type 2.25 bar and 3 bar both work in the srt4 without tuning change but you should tune wich one you buy i have some pics ill post of my build my turbo is under the truck but not sts i made everything all 3 inch tubing which helps driving on the street part throttle boost was a problem before this set up now can be daily driven and tow small trailer without leaning out and sputtering whenever you lug it
