Let me say this all started in a heavy rain storm... I turn my left turn signal on & the right one comes on/ have to slam the arm a couple or so times to get the left one to blink. (drives people behind me crazy). I hit my high beams & my wipers come on. Put my wipers on intermittent & all of a sudden they are on wide open or quit all together. Is my trk possessed?:ermm:

Not likely lol. From all these symptoms it sounds like your multifunction switch is all messed up. This is the part where the blinker bar and wiper switch are all one unit on the column. Does the right blinker work normally with only
Left acting up.

Deff sounds like a bad switch. No the column stays in the truck. You have to remove the column top and bottom covers. Then to short cut it use torx sockets and a pair of pliers to remove the bolts and the switch will come right out. The
Long way is remove the airbag from the steering wheel and then the wheel itself to access the screws easier. Once you have the new part it will make a little more sense since you will see how it's situated.

I agree, the multifunction switch talks to the FCM/cluster by terminating a 5vdc to different value resistors. The different values then represents the various functions. At one time I thought of fooling with it to run low beams along with the high beams at the same time.
