2013 Ram 2500 CC with the 53.7 Hemi and 66RFE Tranny. When I accelerate I hear a slight whistling noise, almost sounds like the belts are loose. It's not though, as it goes away if I put the truck in park and rev. it definitely happens when I'm accelerating,if I take my foot of the gas it goes away. not very loud but definitely there. I've checked the manifold and the belts doesn't seem to be them. Something in the tranny?
Truck has less than 7k on it.

Spoke with dealership yesterday, they said the transmission case is leaking, had to order a new one. He said there is a bolt hole that was drilled too deep and almost went thru the casing. It's a bolt that was used during the assembly process. said he's never seen it before. anyway, I'll keep you posted.

If he had never heard of the problem before I would suspect he wouldn't have found it.

Funny you should mention that. This is actually the second time my truck has been in for this leak. the first time they resealed the tranny pan. This time they were going to order a new tranny pan and call it done. I pointed out the stain trail which started above the pan, up near the bell housing. The service manager looked at it and called me to say it was the housing leaking. Hopefully, this will fix both the leak and the weird noise.

I would remove the cai and take a test drive. If it still whistles, then I'd remove the vacuum hoses and block the ports and give it another test drive. **BECAREFUL AS YOUR BRAKES ARE COMPERMIZED**
Does it whistle by just revving it up in park? If it does then have someone rev it while you listen under the hood.
