I need help solving a lack of brake power. I removed the intake off the motor when I removed the head. I wanted to repair a broken valve spring, bent push rod and check why it broke. After replacing the head gasket and the head, I reinstalled the air box and other parts. I now have no power brakes or a/c. Please give me some assistance in finding where to look. The cooling fan is running as if the a/c is on, but the compressor is not turning.:icon_peace:

Did you re-attach the vacum hose coming from the intake Manifold to the brake booster?

The smaller of the two vacum hoses goes to the purge valve. The small nib on the booster check valve is usually capped

Thanks to both of you for the response. It was vacuum lines. All is well and the '06 is back to work:dance:

If you like gauges - add a simple 'old school 60's style' vacuum gauge to your truck - it can help with simple diagnostics and give some indication of where your fuel mileage might be in real time as you drive...but I really just like seeing the needle jump-around :D.

Everyone needs a vacuum gauge! I really like mine when it swings to the right of "0".....
