Hello, I have a 2004 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi and I want to increase overall performance without completely draining my bank account. A co worker suggested to me to look into doing a cam swap but I'm not the most mechanically inclined. I've tried doing some research but all the videos and feeds I've found have the owners doing so much more than just a cam swap. So my question is: What type of cam should I look into and what if anything else do I need to do in order to accomplish this goal?

If your just wanting a little better bump stick and some added power get an off the shelf cam like a comp 268 any bigger and it's useless unless your turning the rpm high all the time IMO! To go with it would need the valve springs made by comp bare minimum for safety along with front seals and fluids. Heads can stay on the truck if person doing job knows automotive well.

Welcome to HTC!
