It definitely not the iems3 as it doesnt even touch the egr. The valve is off Josh's old motor and works as far as I know. So its gotta be a short or burned wire. I ran for 6 months with no issues last year when the turbo went back on and then the truck would bog down and throw the egr code and then run fine. Clear it and it would stay off for say 20 min and do the same thing and come back. Bought another used valve and that caused it to stay on constantly and with the current valve it does the same thing. Except the code wont clear now..

Wouldn't the IAT "high" be a shorted IAT sensor (not likely) or the two wires going to the IAT sensor shorted together? I don't know what sensor give's a EGR code, but this does sound like there is a couple wires crossed. Thinking out loud...

Cant get rid of it for the life of me. I really want my MDS to work but this code won't go away.

I'm also throwing an IAT sensor high code. Not sure on the number, gotta wait for it to come back
What changes if you unplug the IAT? Will throw a code, but does the code change?

Why don't you just do an egr delete?

I unplugged the IAT and checked everything and plugged it back in the way i've always plugged it in so I'll have to see if it pops back up. As for the EGR delete, I had Dave turn the EGR off in my tune but the truck ran really weird. Fuel trims went completely whack and boost afr was all screwed up. Had him turn it back off and everything immediately went back to normal. My truck likes to run with everything working. Not sure why.

I just want my MDS to work again..

Your exhaust Is ran diff make sure the loom doesn't look melted anywhere it's not stock if the jumper harness is good then it's likely a wire issue somewhere

To bad your not closer I have a power probe short finder and it wouldn't take but 20 mins to check all the wires on egr circuit if you know how to use a multi meter to a continuity test between the PCM harness and the sensor plug and check for opens or shorts

As far as I know, nothing is melted. The harness isnt close to the down pipe. I'm not good with a multimeter.. lol

Id take it to the dealer but theres 100 bucks down the drain just for them to tell me they wont touch my truck because of the modifications

When you did the egr delete...did you physically remove it and add a egr delete kit?
