I do wanna do a track tune but I want water/meth for that. I wish I had more time to learn all the features of the iems3.. Other problem is the trans holding up and not having enough money to build it up properly

Hey Austin. There's a benefit to having a conservative tune. Adding The Water/Meth Is A Must, just for extra protection. Don't run more than 7psi boost with your stock piston ring gaps and stock valve springs. You can always add a BIGGER TURBO running the same boost and tune.

Note: HemiGTX Neil, has ran 10psi boost on his stock pistons and ring gaps. His engine was tuned for it. And he runs water/meth with stronger valve springs. But, even he knows his engine needs forged pistons and proper ring gaps for a boosted engine. PM him and talk about it.

My truck is just barely getting away with running 8psi boost because of the 6.1 valve springs. Anything higher than 8psi boost, and the engine doesn't make any more power. The trucks tune and boost are maxed out on the present set-up. The truck wont be able to go any faster without a major mods to valve springs and the tune.

Here's the second run with 8psi boost and VWG. Two psi boost only will add 44hp max. The VWG allowed the engine to rev-up at the line prior to building boost and loading up the turbo faster in second gear.

I believe my Vacuum W/G mod is working.

I do wanna go to a bigger turbo, and I will eventually get water/meth. Biggest thing I wanna do is get these heads cleaned up with bigger valves and better springs. I just need time and money. I wanna say Tim ran 9psi on his stock motor with water/meth and did like a 12.3. This is in a 5.7 jeep

I know lol. Meant it as his motor was good on 9psi. I'm probably close to 1000lbs heavier than the jeep.

I should just turbo my integra and see if I can catch you guys

Ill put a big wing on it too lol

Those are expensive lol. BTW wheres a good place to get vacuum lines for turbo crap? I've been using fuel line which works fine, but I need a smaller piece that needs to go through the firewall. The plastic line that came with my boost gauge has these little rubber boot things to fit over an NPT fitting but the boot has cracked and completely split. The boot that split goes to my IEMS3 and without a good vacuum reading the truck runs like crap. Its driveable but if that line comes out while away from home i'll be screwed. So just curious if theres either more of the little rubber boots that I can get or what a good small line that'll fit a 1/8 NPT

fittings like this? (inch sizes on next page). Airline here.

McMaster-Carr has most everything, maybe not the cheapest. Good luck!

Nice fittings.

I believe that this is the same type fitting that HemiGTX is using on his truck. Easy to install, and and will last a long long time.

I use the same fuel hose on my vac/boost lines Austin. You have to have a good strong vac/boost hose. Regular vac hose are not recommended in boost systems.

Hey Bill, I went to a larger 5/8" drain hose and fittings from the turbo. Also moved the pump closer and lower to allow better oil drain off from the turbo. Haven't had any oil back up problems since that mod.

Its been running pretty good but over the past week or so its been running real funky. Popped the hood at work yesterday and found that air line to be leaking. I've got fuel line running to all my turbo crap minus the boost gauge and iems3. I'm using the supplied air line that came with the boost gauge. But the little rubber gromets that came with it split. Without a good vacuum reading for the iems3 it doesnt know what to tell the truck to do. I just dont wanna pull the fender liner out and run a piece of fuel line through the firewall. Its gonna be hard, especially with my messed up shoulder..

Thats what i've done on all my others but these plastic lines into the rubber boot things just completely split. Zip tie is the only thing still holding it in.. Its always something lol
