Putting up some pics of mods done on the STS turbo kit to get this subject started.

yeah every once in awhile. Maybe it is the connectors. That was the problem with when I first put it in, truck would get a random misfire, found out half the plug wasnt seated (they're really crappy connectors that go into the iems box itself). Ill push em in in the morning and jump on it. Seems to only do it right around 5000rpms

This SRT8 Jeep front mount turbo is using a T76 with a .96 A/R exhaust housing. He said it drives great on the street as well as at the track. And this was a 6.1 Hemi engine with head work and a cam. Stock bottom end. It has long tube headers going to a 3" Y pipe. 3" piping going to the turbo.
This turbo build was done at Stage Six Motorsports.

So, if a 6.1 can have a .96 housing. Why would you want to go to a bigger A/R exhaust housing on a 5.7 Hemi engine? Just saying......

Yes, you are correct Keith.

Also with all that exhaust piping, it can have a compressor tank affect. In witch causes turbo lag. Shorter the piping, less turbo lag. Or, piping that is sized correctly that allows exhaust flow without causing back pressure or the compressor tank affect. When I do get around to removing the cat. I'll be looking to test this theory out.

Take a look at the 2 1/2 piping going to the turbo on this 1015hp 370 stroker. And that doesn't look like a .96 A/R exhaust housing. Possibly a .81 or maybe a .68 A/R. Hummmmm......

Good point on the .96. I'm just looking at what other people are doing for their trucks. BTW I think the popping was the electrical connection at the iems3. I pressed the wires in and tried to film it this morning and of course my camera didnt record it, but no popping. I've got another video loading up with my camera actually working this time. I love my gopro but the sound sucks

*edit*

Heres the video

On my aftercooler setup. Had an 1/4 inch aluminum plate with a correct size hole drilled through it. Tig welded to the inlet elbow at the TB. Used an 1/4 inch aluminum plate cut to a U shape, to hold the IAT sensor in place. Added an O-ring to the IAT sensor also.

Can't confirm, nor deny, that presently the IAT sensor might just be laying on the intake manifold while using the OEM STS boost piping setup.

Didnt even think to epoxy it in.. dur

BTW for your w/m injection. Are you spraying before or after the IAT sensor.

Just did a little reading on hooking up w/m to the iems3 and it looks like I just wire the S-5 PWM-2 wire to the pump and I'll be good to go Minus setting it up in the software. I'm assuming I would hook up a boost control solenoid to PWM-1 OUT and set it up in the software
