Good catch. Another thing I am seeing is your welds are too cold your not getting very good penetration. Notice how yours beads are sitting high mounded not smooth to both sides that makes for very weak joints and will break. Just letting you know.

 

Haven't had problems with the welds except for if I turn it up a little, it blows holes in the tube. Don't have the best mig welder but, it gets the job done.

 

The 05 is up and running. She's running better. Must have been weak coil packs. Not as sluggish now at the lower rpm. Even the idle sounds meaner. :thumb:

Now keep in mind, that is a engine dyno with nothing driven off of the crank pulley. They also used a stand alone Fast pcm's witch is much better tuning. Adding in drive train and accessory drag (a/c, alternator, power steering, water pump, tc, trans, rear axle, brake drag, ect...) and that will drop the hp/tq quit a bit. Minimum loss of 100 to 200hp/tq especially if you have a 4x4. There will be hp/tq loss just by using the oem pcm. A good rule of thumb is 18 to 20hp/tq (per pound of boost) gained by adding boost to a stock 5.7 Hemi engine. 20 to 22hp/tq per pound of boost to a built turbo 5.7 Hemi engine. Even more hp/tq per pound of boost on a stroker built engine.

One of them even with the small port plastic car intake manifold. Also a twin turbocharged 9 second truck with shorty headers. Take a look at Richard Holdener vids using long tube vs short tube headers with a turbo. See anything interesting?

In this video these guys did what I am trying to do with the Thottle Body!! (drive by cable) I am not sure, but I think they may be using a stand alone Computer :ermm:
