GOT the bushing made and the flexplate opened up some so now the trans should fit in there and get rolling on the rest of the install!

Test for the converter and the bushing and it’s dead on perfect fit! The flexplate is a little close in two spots on the adapter cover that my trusty grinder is going to make better for me lol! Then the trans will go into the truck and fabricate my trans mount setup.

 

If you want/need some help let me know, I’m just chilling here with not much to do lol I’m not a beach bum like my wife is :rofl:

 

TRans is in the truck have about 3/16 pull up perfect there! Also I think the factory crossmember will work with a slight added piece to the side for the trans mount I have on order.

 

Uh ohhh it’s getting closer! Made a trans mount adapter so now the motor and trans are in and supported on there own. Turbo and manifold was heavy as all hell! Fuel filter housing is in and ready for a fuel line. Intake is on and egr delete kit is installed. Ordering the radiator, condenser, intercooler, wire harness, pcm and trans cooler to get the rest going!

I am ordering the painless kit here this week I think and then just tapping the signal wires for the oil pressure and the coolant temp. The fuel and voltage will work on there own. The v6 pcm is staying in the truck to keep dash operational. I already went in and took out every non essential wire from the pcm that went to the motor so it’s pretty bare on one plug already lol.

Flex fuel ! Jet fuel to french fried grease.. IMO, it should be the race truck.... that sucker will run..

PS. One of the codes will say your using the wrong type of fuel...:lol:

 

Blew a lift cylinder so had to take the truck out of the barn to swap it out! Look at how nice it sits there! It also still Hd a good front jounce and rebound woth no crazy bouncing. This is going to be so fun once I have it running.

Got a radiator and trans cooler coming along with an intercooler so the front end of the truck will be back together very soon I hope. Few things to square away in the barn first then back at it.

No and don’t want to really just put his parts on and go.

 

sometimes they are the best builds, build it and let them worry about the trinket stuff.

there's a local company that's doing a SEMA build, a 72 D100 with a worked Hellcrate, we had it on Vinny Dyno last week, 1395 at the rear wheels. thru a Rossler power glide, those motors are just insane.

 

Radiator has arrived! Next is the intercooler and trans cooler. Wiring harness coming next week I believe.
