If your gonna use the 6.1 heads and a lot of n2o why dont we have this modman welded up and injector bosses drilled so he has a wetflow manifold.

 

The 6.1 intake manifold is way better than the Modman......

Should be a very fast truck. I would also ensure the rest of the drive train is up to that kind of power, with no weak links.:thumb:

Going to have to find the weak links forst lol or spend a ton now extra over eng to rid the truck of them from the start. It will last for awhile I think before something goes

 

I am quite concerned about my transmission.


It's a stock transmission that I bought from Josh. Which has served me well. I did install my Sharadon Stage 3 valve body but I have never pushed it hard. With the power expected, a failure is quite apt to happen.


I was originally planning for an 4L80E tranny which will require an adapter to mate with the 6.1 and a controller. Not sure of the cost. The old defunct builder felt that a stock 4L80e would handle the expected HP. What do you think?


Would it be better to go with a Sharadon Stage 3?

 

A 4l80 is able to take 500hp all day stock. Convert a few karts inside and your good to 900-1300 spew do on what's done inside.

A stage three Sharadon will work I'm sure provided all the links are worked out of his builds most everyone has had an issue or two with everyone sad to say.

If you go 4l80 will need adapter and converter with trans controller and a diff drive shaft if you do the manual 4l80 won't need controller but will need all the other stuff

Stage 3 $3400 ish 4l80 $ 4000 ish depending on mods and what not

 

Shortly, Superstreet Performance is coming out with 2 versions of the 545RFE. :brows: Stay tuned.

 

I know a guy locally here in Orlando that has 4l80s just sitting around. I'll see if I can get a hold of him to see what he's selling them for.

 

If drive shaft is too long, it can be shortened, right?

 

What other options are out there?

Hey guys, just throwing this out there......If you are expecting Nathan's truck to be super fast, think you might want to start planning on safety gear on the truck so he can run it.

 

Won't need a cage to 10.49 it will be fast bit not that fast.
