short runner valve intake manifold on 07 hemi

OK, I have 2007 1500 5.7 4x4
I have seen in the HP Tuners file that there is an option to turn on the short runner valve for the intake manifold. The question is, does that just mean adding a pin to the PCM connector and running a wire to the solenoid of a newer intake manifold?
I'm in the process of putting together a 6.4 swap and was wanting to use the power wagon manifold. Trying to figure some of the smaller stuff out before I get into which transmission and transfer to use.
