Thanks to this site and all the friendly and helpfull people here; Mr Hemi gave me permission to post pic's and details of a complete build for a supercharged Hemi engine. We will take you through the step by step process. From pulling the motor, to the final tuning. Starting tomorrow morning at 9 am, we will be tearing into the truck. We will give you a day by day post and pic's of the truck in progress. Currently, there are 11 other on going project vehicles that are being worked on. Somedays my truck will have to take a back burner. I want to take the time right now, to thank the many people on this site, that have answered all my many questions and make this happen.

I have the stock, steel drive shafts. There's a math equation about the diameter vs length and we should be okay. I have Bob's (Moe's) driveshaft loop for the rear and we are making one for the front as well. Just in case, if you know what I mean. The new Edge converter is way tighter than the 3600 Continental. After a test drive yesterday the tranny temps stayed in check and never climbed any higher than 78* celcious. The truck launches real hard from a dead stop. The front end lifted hard and Denny thought the truck was going to leap frog, which I'm glad it didn't since we probably would have broke something for sure. The truck pulls strong through 2nd, the top of 3rd seems a little weak. We need more air which means we need more boost. lol I think Paxton will be getting a call soon.

Hit the NOS, dog! Hit the NOS!

I did finally get the pulley off after making a custom puller and backing plate. The backing plate looks like it got shot with a .38 where the puller screw was sitting on it, lol.

What did you use to put the pulley back on? I don't know if I want to risk messing up the threads in the crank by using the old bolt to try to impact it back on or not. I see that there's a special mopar tool for doing it... your thoughts?

I can't help you out with that one. Once we pulled the stock one off, we just set it on the back shelf. We took the new 6.1 crank and had a keyway cut into it and installed the ATI damper. Beast or uniball can help you out with that one. Just make sure you use a new crank bolt. They're like $3 from the dealer.

Yeah I have the new crank bolt waiting. I just pulled the cam and the front cam bearing looks like it might have some excessive wear on it. Then again, it might be normal for almost 35k. I took a couple pictures and I'll put them up when I get home so you guys can take a look and tell me what you think. I know they're not supposed to be serviceable anyway but I thought you had Clevite make you some anyway.

I guess I'm going to return it to mostly stock and sell it, then the plan is to get a used 2005 SRT-10 in 1-2 years and build that up. It pisses me off that I have to do this now that internals are finally available for the hemi. I am going to leave the supercharger on and finalize the tune/issues with that so I can get some track/dyno numbers, then I'll have some closure on the project and I'll sell it all off.

The tranny is holding up great. I did have one little studder when I was doing about 65 and was slowly excellerating to 70. The vaccumm was near zero when it happened. I think this is the same studder that hemifever experienced with his truck in the Superchips performance tune. I just might go back to the T/H tune and see if that makes a difference. I'm trying to get a 1/4 mile time for you guy's during the tuning by using the new Superchips update, but the new program won't download. Any idea's?

not sure of the 05 tuner, but on my 04 tuner. I plug it in, select diagnostics. On the next screen, I select datalogging. From there the screen says; "Initializing, Pleas wait" The new loaded screen has three options. Log by speed, Log by distance, and Data display. Only the first two options work, and you have to be at a complete stop before they work.

Try redownloading it from your pc to the tuner? It would suck to have to send the tuner in

So far my best 0-60 mph is 5.40. I figure you should be at least a second faster than me

I had the same problem downloading the new program to my Superchip tuner also. It was the windows firewall. Just go to the control panel double click on Windows Firewall and select off and OK. Don't forget to turn the firewall back on after your update. Tell Denny I said Hey and thank you for this build I have been following it from day one.

There is no function available for the Data Display option yet...supposed to be available in the fall....!!!! You have to come to a complete stop to utilize the Speed and Distance options...due to the fact: Vehicle Movement Triggers the Timing...!!!!

Jerry hope you get the download figured out will be very interested to see the results...you should get pretty reliable readings with the 4x4 not affecting the wheel spin issues with the Tuner and wheel spin....!!!!

The speed and distance option is what I'm trying to get into the Superchips. I'll have my wife try it with the fire wall blocker off. Today I started fabbing up a new front driveshaft loop just in case.... I don't think Dynatech would sell me just a left side header lol, plus I don't know how many hits the engine block or oil pan would take from a loose driveshaft.

If that doesn't work, try connecting your labtop instead. I ran into a blitz trying to upload the fix for the dtc read/clear function. Even with the firewall down, it didn't load....When I plugged my labtop to the internet, it downloaded no problem!

I think it would take 3 hits. On the 4th one you're f*cked! LOL

I wouldn't want to find out either. How bout fabbing me up a driveshaft loop for my 2wd QC?

SOMEBODY is supposed to be working on one for me, but it's not done yet and I was ready months ago! (no it's not Stu, he is very efficient, and too busy to help me with it right now since he is working on the new motor stuff, and I would rather have a bigger motor than a driveshaft loop if given a choice).

I also need to talk to you about your line lock.

Superjay, I didn't get it at first.... "labtop". Now I get get. Guitarded, we all know it was the slip. Forgive me for laughing, but I might as well have a "labtop" inside of my cab when tuning after you see all of the other contraptions that I have hooked up. Beast, I'll give you a shout and we'll discuss the line lock.

LOLROF...That is too frigg'n funny....wish I had a pic of the instrument panel in my Luscombe....!!!!!
