Thanks to this site and all the friendly and helpfull people here; Mr Hemi gave me permission to post pic's and details of a complete build for a supercharged Hemi engine. We will take you through the step by step process. From pulling the motor, to the final tuning. Starting tomorrow morning at 9 am, we will be tearing into the truck. We will give you a day by day post and pic's of the truck in progress. Currently, there are 11 other on going project vehicles that are being worked on. Somedays my truck will have to take a back burner. I want to take the time right now, to thank the many people on this site, that have answered all my many questions and make this happen.

That sounded like my last date!

The little groove on the right side of the piston needs to be deeper?

If material is removed, remember to re-balance.

Irregular tooth spacing?

Sounds kinda like Jay's sister!

Great for eating corn though.
Through a knothole in a fence, no less!

If you notice the toner ring is only slightly bigger ( 0.005 ) then the crank counter weight. Then look again at the piston with the toner ring relief. The piston relief is .090 deep and we need ALL of that. The way it looks right now we only have .047 between the bottom of the piston and the toner ring. With a negative clearance for the piston.

In other words, Ross clearanced the bottom of the piston for the toner ring,(the groove cut in the underside of the piston) but did not take into consideration the height of the crankshaft throw. We will machine down the counter balance portions to make it work.

Uniball I think we have it covered. Our rod/piston combo is going to be completely different than what they are running and will clear the 3.80 stroker crank no problem!

Stu would be the one to help with all that... I know we discussed several options yesterday and he is looking into it.

Jerry, would you have had this problem had you went w/ the 6.125" rod vs. the 6.00" rod??? To me that would solve the problem. I know you did want the rings to be that far down on the piston but, that would have made your clearance issue from the bottom end null and void. Or am I missing the picture? Good Luck, you guys will overcome this little issue no problemo. Laters,
