It's time I think to tread into the programmer arena with this new truck. I have 50k miles on it now, and all is good.
The old '05 sport had the superchips, which did really well with it. I have that for sale, it has the second from the last, latest tune on it, which I think was the best. It did a ton of stuff.
It is set back to factory state, so it can take on a new vehicle.
What's around these days that similar to what I had?
No perf. mods done to this truck yet, so some other mods to complement the tuner would be helpful.
Not looking to spend over 5k on this project. a couple k at a time - It's just a work truck.
also, have new/unused 4.55 gears from Moe's bought way back and never used them.
Is it worth it, like it was, to mod/tune trucks these days?

You need an unlocked PCM first. Newer PCM's are encrypted.

OK - I saw a Utube video of the Diablo I think.
It had a pcm and a video/slave module that looks to gain the info from your stock pcm, then insert the info to the new pcm. I didn't see the pricing on this.
Is this a good way to go? or is there a better way to go?
Are the newer trucks harder/more expensive to tune ?
