Does anyone know if the newest firmware version for the predator U7137 is still available anywhere?

Brother if your DSP is supporting the vehicle you want to use it on, I would not attempt installing an update. It won't do anything for you and could change the supported vehicles it now supports... ggod luck..

And what changes are there between ver 9 and 14? And how will they benefit a 04?

Mike, this is were I keep having issues you/diablo. From my own personal experience I know you can"t go back from an update period. Which is beside the point as the updates don't include gen lll anyway.

Sorry you are still having issues with me. I am here to assist those who ask, not to create issues with you.

I can backdate Predators with DSDL. Anyone can.

There are some specific croms that can't go back, and some tools that have weird orders of operation, but a U7137 born with say 9r05 then updated to 9r14 can go back to say 9r09 if desired. Really not sure how or why this matters as we haven't sold one in over 5 years now...

My issue is with the mis information you put out. But you are right you haven't sold one for 5 years so who gives a *** except those still using them....

So...Harleyc04 asks a question.
You chime in with your negative 2 cents, and I respond with actual assistance.
If I thought there was no need for him to update or it might not be a good idea, I would have plainly told him that. Wouldn't be the first time.

Also note that I didn't just tell him the device is old and advise him to upgrade to newer device. I offered assistance to get his old device up to the latest specs, which is what the customer was after initially. Thats why I am here. Solely to assist/support our customers. Not to engage in back and forth with someone who just doesn't like me or the company I work for ;)

On that note, I'm done responding to you :)

Harley I'll leave it with this. Before deciding whether or not to update, go to diablo's forum and read some of it. Then you will know whether to chance it or not.
I'm biased because of the treatment I recieved from diablo. Mike is biased being a Diablo salesman and his membership to the forum is based only on that aspect.

The old predators have there quirks. IMO of it works leave it be to avoid any possible issue. I upgraded mine one time and lost the trans tuning and get a -154 code that still has yet to be solved by diablo. Again of tuner works use it won’t gain anything from update!

If you’re able to tune the truck now, there’s no advantage to installing an updated CROM. It’s not like your going to gain additional horsepower from a new CROM. If you want a new tune other then what comes preloaded, talk to a CMR Tuner like Keith, and he’ll get you set up.

Diablosport is a great product as long it’s working, and you’re not considered a one-off. If others are experiencing similar issues, or there’s past knowledge of this problem on others vehicles, they’ll work with you to resolve the problem. But, that’s where it stops.

I get it... it doesn’t make since for Diablo to pull the programming/software engineer off cracking the latest Dodge PCM and or correcting the 2017 and 2018 issues, just to work on your 3rd gen. They’re in the business of selling products, and helping the masses.

I’m not going to rehash my grievance with Diablo, but at least Mike@Diablosport is offering to help. I wish Mike hadn’t gave up on me. Nonetheless as stated before, if everything is working now, leave it alone. There’s huge risk, and no reward.

I should clarify some things.

I just picked up the tuner from eBay a few weeks ago.

I needed a tuner to load custom tunes and I don't need the extras that come with the trinity, etc. I have almost every gauge that you can think of already. It feels like you're sitting in an airplane cockpit.

I haven't tuned anything with it yet. My 392 should be here by the end of the month and I am using an 05 PCM so the CMR tuner can mess with the trans.

As far as updating the firmware, I just wanted to make sure I have the most up to date version/features in what I know is an old product, which probably doesn't matter anyways because I am not doing any tuning with the handheld. As I said, I just need to be able to transfer custom tunes to the PCM.

I haven't loaded the new firmware yet.

Nope it’s done you asked your ? Got your answer. The tuner will need to be married to the truck after that it should load tunes fine benit custom or canned. There are a bunch of us that have had issues with diablo and some tech support but that’s the past we still use the damn tools anyway because there really is no other options like diablo for the most part. any bashing from here out will be removed if you have an issue with someone send them a pm and hash it out elsewhere family oriented site here were not going to nadodge (no longer existent website) levels

I would love to do that if I had the money for new one but I guess maybe if I can sell this bullydog GT I have I take you up on that but do ya know what the cal id is I would need I'm presure I can get it off the tech stream or witech just pay for prescription for 3 days like 30-50 bucks but I don't want to over update it
