Well, all the door speakers and tweets went in a few weeks ago. So now I have gotten the vent wall prepped for an amp install. Just one step closer!!!!!! Heck, even if I never did install an amp, this looks a heck of a lot better!

I can't take credit for the design though. Thanks Stebob!!!!! I saw his and couldn't sway. Although we used slightly different wood. I used 5/8 MDF in case anyone wonders. I think stebob used 3/4 plywood? Stebob? Total cost? Less than $25. And an hour of labor. I already did the bracket flip mod though. That would add a few minutes. Maybe 10.

Turned out great!

yeah, I used 3/4 plywood. But, I can't take the credit for this, either. I saw a post on dodgetalk where a guy did it, I just stole the idea from him.

This is true. I saw that same post. I remember talking to you about it. Man, that is a tight fit down low where the seats bolt in. At least in the back two corners where the plastic is. I should have cut that out of my wood. I ran it behind there a little. But it turned out okay. I think I might have cross threaded the rear corner passenger bolt a little, but it tightened up.....lol. If I remember right didn't you run your 12v fuse to the amp right off the amp and mount it to the board as well? Seems like that would be easier than under the hood as far as mounting, fuse removal, etc.

What you saw on my amp board is the distribution block. The fuse is up by the battery.

Okay, I was wondering. I thought it was better to do the fuse closer to the battery, but it has been a while since my last sub.

Well, took my back wall out tonight and recut the ends to make room for the plastic c-pillar panel to recess into. Left the seats out since I ordered my Kicker 350.2 amp and wiring kit. That won't take long to install. Still up in arms on a sub. Either an L5 or CVR. Still weighing the options. If I don't get an L5 for around the same cost, I am just going to stick with a CVR. I was happy with my last one. REAL happy. Hard to sway for an L5 when it is an extra $50. Will post pics soon.

Well....I just broke....couldn't pass it up....CVR 12" for $72.95 shipped. With a warranty. So I just did it. Had a hard time justifying $135 for an L5 when I was so happy with my CVR to begin with. Oh well. I know I will be happy, and I KNOW this one will fit in the box as well. Since I had the same setup before. Wooohhhoooooo.....Should be jamming by the end of next weekend!

Well, got the amp and sub in the mail this week. Still waiting on the wiring kit. Hopefully tomorrow. Finished up the sub box tonight and got the sub wired in it. I mounted the amp to the back wall, but didn't take pics yet. Figure no reason until it is wired in. Distribution block is mounted and ran to amp. Speaker wire is ran half way to the sub with the bass remote wire. So not long now. Just need to run the power, RCA, remote, and mount the sub in. Couple of hours maybe. Won't be too bad. Will post finals when I get it all wired.
