My son has a 2004 Ram Hemi 1500. We are trying to do a complete cam/valve train upgrade using mostly 6.1 parts. For the cam we looked at the Lunati 276/280. It is similar to Comp 273 but starts pulling at 1600 rpm vs 2500. Has anyone used this cam? Pls let me know if you have had any experience using this. I have used Comps in the past but like the earlier torque curve. I am tuning this once completed. I have many upgrades already. Here are the cam specs

Hydraulic Roller Cam. Great power gains in mid and upper RPM range. Like upgraded exhaust, requires custom tuning.

Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 276/280
Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 225/229
Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .531/.538
LSA/ICL: 114/112
Valve Lash (Int/Exh): Hyd/Hyd
RPM Range: 1800-6000

I'm running a LPM custom ground which is similar to a comp 273 and love it. However, the stroker makes up for the low end torque. Are you running a stalled converter? If so what is it set at? I'm sure someone here will chime in, usually around dinner time. Welcome abroad!

As mentioned TC and gears are important.
