So I take it you don't plan to upgrade to the 3865 for the tranny options?? Also how are you going to update the tuner, not that any new features for that model will probably be availabe?

I'm not going to upgrade to the 3865 until the cost drops and I can update the 3815 if need be just pull the dezel off I left the screws out only the clips hold it on.

Bad news for us we will not be able to come on the trip my wife has to have surgery (it's a woman thing) and will be laid up for 6 weeks we both are very unhappy about this but sometimes life throws you a curve ball

Awesome Job............Got a thought on the update issue.....If you use the cable for the 3815 that you plug into the computer and plug it into a USB extension adapter you could mount the adapter in the dash and then just plug a cable for a laptop directly into the dash......no need to take dash apart to update programmer.
