Traction bars are on again. Did the front mount setup a little different by welding a 3/4” but to the frame directly makes for a nice mounting location. These bars are 50” long and flat along the frame so they don’t take a beating being on the angle like the short set. Giving these a test tonight and then again Sunday let’s see what they do.

Those look great! Pretty much the same thing I decided to do keeping them high and tight

Look at this I’m getting better at this tig thing lol. Left to right I was playing with the machine to see what it will do. Learned a few things on my own. I did learn I need to move a lot faster I kept going to slow and would melt out or crap shoot. Also getting better at trying to maintain a steady tungsten height over weld puddle! All in all for around 5hrs total weld time I think it’s really good only gets better from here.

Rather than go to universal like planned today decided to fix my issue with the truck! I was having spark blownout around 5600+ RPM very badly. I located 8 new coils and swapped them all out 2005 style and shorty wires. My compression is around 10.5-8:1 range and the timing is only around 9degrees at -10.5lbs boost for now. Made 4 full pulls everyone of them almost exactly the same. Made 690rwhp@6300 rpm and 625ftlbs@6300. After 6300 the torque falls of and making more power all the way to 7200rpm got me 725 on 11psi. When I turn this thing up to 16-18psi it’s gonna be really FUN! Cage and light weight mods coming very soon about to be full race semi daily driven! I knew I was making more power just didn’t know how much more till now.

Ps. That’s only on 8 degrees of timing a no knock in sight and 93oct fuel! turning it up soon! I can tune the **** outta this thing get some!

15+ boost should make very serious numbers. But brings on the problems of not having any traction on the street. You are already unable to test on the street.
