I am going from this tiny little aftercooler with a water leak
shhh you are letting all the secrets out....Yeah it helps on all motors but will also allow na to run more timing hence more power
Meth is basically a race fuel that's injected cooling the air charge while raising the octane
Nah, it'll ruin your engine!
This exact kit is what I would suggest it will even work for a boosted motor if need be can be setup using boost or a map sensor voltage (NA) way to hook upLike I said that system is no longer available and a much better system is now being offered in it's place IMO. http://www.snowperformance.net/stage...ooler-n-a.html
I asked this same question a while back and was told there wouldnt be much gain for our trucks unless the compression was raised. Has something changed with the newer kits? But do stock N/A motors like it?
Without a dyno sheet. IMO, it makes a marginal difference, High compression engines will see more gains then lower CR one because they have the potential to make more power, however you need to have the timing set to make that power and the wtr/meth will allow for that aggressive tuning. On my stock na engine using SC tuner, pwr wire and 180 stat all add some timing. Even using 93 octane on a 91 tune I had some fuel knock. After I installed the wtr/meth I no longer have any knock. I've tried the 93 tune, but the engine feels stronger on the 91 tune. I have also read the new gen hemi doesn't like nor need a lot of timing. Wtr/meth really likes High CR or Forced Induction engines, but still has it uses on a na engine as it cools the inlet charge and lowers egt which all help to make a little power. My 2 cents......I asked this same question a while back and was told there wouldnt be much gain for our trucks unless the compression was raised. Has something changed with the newer kits?
very true, guys who do the custom CMR tunes will tell you the same thingI have also read the new gen hemi doesn't like nor need a lot of timing.
I'll provide some feedback on this once I get my the Megasquirt up and running.very true, guys who do the custom CMR tunes will tell you the same thing
Going lean is bad for the engine. If the proper A/F is maintained then the method of delivery doesn't matter.Correct me if I am wrong but I thought Dry Spray Nitrous was bad for our trucks????
