The bumper isn't all that heavy, but the hitch cross member is.

I intend to use the OEM battery location for my electrical center when I install the Megasquirt. So the battery will be moved to rear between the frame. This is what I was looking at.

BMR Fabrication Battery Relocation Kit BR001H | eBay

Bolt this to the frame with a cutout switch then just lift the battery into place and secure it.

I used a kit from Taylor that has a full aluminum enclosure and I think it came with wire and the disconnect. That eBay one looks like too much $, but maybe this stuff went up in the last 5 years? I would also highly suggest a circuit breaker mounted immediately off the battery. Good insurance and too many heavily modded vehicles burn to the ground.

That's a nice box, JEG's carry's it at a great price. Problem with a box is mounting it and servicing the battery under the bed mounted to the frame. It would require dropping the whole box to get at it, unless I'm missing something with the mounting. Do you have pictures of your setup?

Stu its 12.5/12.5/4.5 with 3" in out 90degree from frozenboost.com on your setup you could run one of there long straight ones bill could Deff use one with how long his boost pipes are and ditch the air-air will help with what lag you have

Today switched out every pipe clamp I had to t-bolt style much bigger footprint and alot more clamping pressure won't have any blown pipes now

When I do the boost upgrades I may have v-band ends welded on my pipes with seals in them that would be cool

Also you guys aren't going to believe this I am going to tackle a custom sheet metal intake manifold for my truck got a friend who will let me use his tig welder and his lathe will have a spot for the map sensor and nipples on it also for the vacuum hook ups its going to be a single plane style custom made like everything else on my truck I do this is goin to be geared toward a boost setup the runners are not going to be long so an NA motor won't benefit but it will look cool either way will keep you guys posted

Just throwing this out for thought, how about a hybrid using an aluminum manifold and cutting the top off of it to use the base and then building something from that? I see the LS folks inserting longer runners in their manifolds. How about fabricating tunable runners in a bolt-on top box? Hidden nitous injectors with meth foggers, I gotta have a beer, my brain is over heating...

I like it!

I saw that mod man manifold stu and was thinking I could just drill the efi holes that are cast into out and then fab up a top hat that would bolt on and have a place for my throttle body gotta see what would be best but that is Deff a good base

Using a 6.1 manifold is also an idea and modifying it alot options to pick from either way its moving forward been looking for awhile now

If I get that manifold I would get the 5.7 efi base pre drilled with fuel rails for $749 a make a top cover myself will still be cheaper than doing the mopar one where I need rails and would still have to make a custom top the modman seems to be the est route unless I can come by a 6.1 free or very cheap and mod the inlet a little bit still may just make one from scratch sheet metal style will take along time being that I work alot and trying to find the right material for the job

I look at this one to inspire fantancy's occassionally, I like the intercooler setting inside the base. The TB an be mounted pointing straight up wouldn't be a problem I would think.
