Just ordered my sportsman door slammer bar kit upgrade to make it a 14pt cage. Also ordered a funny car cage upgrade.

Its the real deal!
When it comes to safety I will not skimp!

basically I will be good to go 7.5 if going faster than that I have to build a 25-5 spec full chassis that I don’t want to do.

Well I have been thinking a lot about what to do with the truck. I want to make it a dual purpose truck. Drag and road course truck. The suspension in bot instances needs to be stiff with little body roll so it would not be to hard to make it do both. Only downside is I would have to have two rear chunks and two transmissions and two shafts.

The front suspension for both types of racing are complete opposite ends of the spectrum, drag racing, you need lots of travel, light as possible with out being too fragile, while road racing/auto cross, needs to resist weight transfer and control as much of the weight transfer as the rear.
Leaf spring suspension lends itself well to both types, 4 link is kind of difficult to make work when hard cornering is expected, but great for planting the rear tires evenly
Already started looking into making the front end convertible to road suspension when needed. It’s gonna take a little work on my part that’s for sure. I just hate to build a drag truck specific vehicle and then all the tracks close done near me. I don’t have the time to drive 5+ hrs to go race lol. Now road coarse tracks I have an abundance of around me. It would be sick to see a twin turbo hemi pass a lambo and damn near out corner it if setup correctly. I have seen it done it’s awesome to watch the faces.
