Becareful .... 3rd gear testing on the street is risky business.

I still am yet to get my truck done. I have been non stop with work and business work I have little time to do my own stuff. I am getting close to shop for work flow. It’s crazy how fast the word spreads that’s for sure and I love it. Free advertising is the best advertising. My truck will be hauling the mail here soon enough though.

Ok ok. Still didn’t get the stuff done. But what I did get was.

10 point roll cage ordered (chromoly) no swingouts
15g fuel cell for in or under bed not sure yet
Chromoly tubes to do a tubular front and rear setup
Engine plates (to ditch the motor mounts)
Rear end may get a 4 link but is for sure getting coil overs front and rear
Anti roll bar

Removing entire dash and mounting cluster to a mustang dash panel or possibly going to a full on Holley setup not 100% sure which way yet. For now I may just see what I can actually push out of this setup we will see.

Aluminum race seat (will only be 1 seater at track unless I get another aluminum)

My tune is also getting turned way up I have it set to only 5 degrees timing @ wot.
Boost is getting turned up to around 18-20
Driveshaft is likely going to blow out so upgrading that also

We are aiming to shave in the ballpark of around 1000lbs between dash, Ac, front and rear frame sections and bed gut and cage added back in. I am looking for high 9s if possible let’s see what the next year or so plays out like. For now it gets driven 2 times a week. Until surgery starts

In the majority of our builds we don't have an opportunity to set back the engine. And of course competing against 4th gen and newer speciality built racers you need every advantage...

Full round tube chassis? That would much lighter and fast. Super cool too.

It is relatively easy to build a strong frame. The challenge is to build a light frame that's strong enough to hold up under vehicle use whether it be street or race.
