met with otnielarencibia tuesday and picked up some fog lights which i have installed with a custom mod to the factory air ducts for the bumper so it doesnt look funny

when you say cheap for an 05 PCM, what are we talking? I am going to put an05 pcm in my truck so I can tune my trans.

Well its been 5yrs and 45k and now the pinion bearings are making noise got up this morning to have some fun in the stinky diff fluid opened it up and found a perfect contact patch no wear or excessive heat carrier bearings still good changing the pinion bearings before rally will get a little annoying driving that far with whineing noise

Well it's all back together and nice and quiet no noise no whine

heres is the front race you can see the pitting starting glad i did it now and not half way to alabama

this is the rear pinion bearing it is shot check out the damage that almost insued

 

this is the detroit true trac installed back in the truck with 20inlbs on the pinion rotating torque and .006 backlash with same shims as removed from bad bearings contact patch is dead center full spread in the ring gear very nice the rear end is so quiet now

Well pinion is still good to go double checked all the stuff today tomm doing all my fluids in the drive way and preparing for the rally sad news is the trans still drains back but I'm just goin to live with it for now until after rally been assured by edge and Sharadon that no damage will happen as long as I let it idle for a little to fill up before driving

 

got a little bored today and since the bars worked so well (still shocked) I decided to paint them since they are staying on the truck here is one sanded and one still rusted

 

here they are primed ready for color
