Here's a picture of the TV cable connected to the APPS. This is the method most pro builders use when installing a hemi in a retro build.

This is a couple pictures of the progression of fabricating the throttle lever for the TV cable.

I can lock 3rd in I think if I do the whole start in 1 or 2, shift it into D for 3 then column back into 2 for the rest of the pass. If I left it in drive it would shift into 4th at like 5200 or something weird. It's been so long since I've gone wot thru the gears other than 1-2 shift, seems like it doesn't like that 2-3 shift. I Believe this trans is hurt pretty decent but for normal driving its ok, at least I've put over 10k miles on this junkyard dog tho

Do you have an integrated pcm or a seperate tcm?

Yes, that is the 03 style with remote APPS. It seems only the 03 can lockout 4th and 5th by just turning off the od button.

I can say I would definitely go with a lockup converter. At cruise I run 2100 at 65 mph in od and locked up. All I do to make a pass is drop out of OD and with the rpm increase you are in low boost and really moving. Cruising rpm's is too low for you not to be locked up. And while making a hard pass and dropping out of lockup and od both making high boost be very certain you have good pavement under you.
Do you wait for the 'downshift' or mash as soon as you hit the OD off?

He doesn't have the 545rfe. With the 518 turn OD off and romp it there is no waiting with that trans. I am gathering my parts to do the swap as I type this. Flex plate on way, rebuild kit on way and a book lol.

I can lean on it and come out of lu, but usually I set up the pass and I'm already unlocked. This is mostly on a relatively busy two lane. If you asking if I'm doing anything specific for the trans I'm not. I've made a ton of wot passes and launches. The automatic shift points are conservative and when I'm beating on it I manual shift to get the rpm up to my shift points. (6200)

Keith, for the TV cable i first bought a Lokar TV kit. It had all the fittings I needed but was too short. Called lokar and was told that any lenght cable can be ordered by adding the number of feet after the item number. Believe the additional charge for 10 feet was around $135. I found on ebay Micheal Cushion sells motorcycle clutch/brake cable for old school bikes. I ordered 13 feet of 6mm nylon sleeve outer cable and 15 feet of inner cable cost about $45. I used the various lokar fittings and it all goes together nicely. Shoot me a email if you want his email address, you can order directly from him. The pressure switches can be a little difficult to identify. The od switch I have has a range of 30-50psi and the LU 40-60psi. 1 pound = 1 mph. Mine are adjusted for 43 and 48 at the moment which is working for me.
Note the switches are normally open closing at the set point.
