I hear you and I understand what you're saying. Ignorance is bliss to those who don't understand what memorial Day stands for. They think it's a cookout with hot dogs and hamburgers.... I am truly sorry for all who have lost loved ones wearing their uniforms. Every year when this rolls around I think about my cousin who died in Vietnam, that I never got to meet when I was a young child and was only told stories of his bravery.I retired last year after 25+ years. Something that always made me a bit uncomfortable was whenever someone would say "happy memorial day" to me. I know they mean well in their ignorance, but this pretty much sums it up:
