Thought I'd post a pic for the sake of the build thread!!! This intake is sure to be a fun addition to the build!!

 

Looks good, when you go to put the injectors in, I suggest you grease them up and slip them into the injector bung and then give it a little bit of a push to seat them. The hole is reamed and tapered at the very bottom. Then install the fuel rail on the injectors. This is backward from the normal install procedure. And for all you guys who have been in prison I'm talking about fuel injector install.

I am going to use a car timing cover for my intake install. I know I will have to use car A/C pump alt and power steering pump. But any one know if my underdrive crank pulley will work with the car timing cover?

 

Don't hold me to this, but I remember something about the belt grooves being different.

 

I just looked on rockauto and compared an 06 charger to my 06 truck and the truck has 7 ribs where the car has 6 ribs. SUCKS!

 

Also there is a better selection of lengths available for 6 rib than 7 rib.

 

Yes rib count is diff and I think spacing is also from block to front of pulley

 

You are right. The truck assembly is spaced further out from the block. I originally had a crank pulley for a car sent to me with my build but didn't realize it till after I installed my other pulleys.

 

So if one switched to the LX pulleys could a roots style blower be used?

 

If I am not mistaken the edelbrock supercharger was designed for the car's timing cover! So I would say yes!

Well guys I just bought the last hardware for installing my intake! Next stop fuel system!!!:dance:

 

Fuel systems are actually fun as there are so many different designs you can use.

 

Fuel cell,external fuel pump&filter,pressure reg,aftermarket fuel rails,and AN fittings!

 

The tank ismy next mod. I need to get some dimensions to work with.

 

Well I got the last of my hardware for the intake from Joe! Also the TB adapter and the cometic gaskets!!! Moving forward nicely!!!:dance:

 

Sweet! when will you install it? Are you going to use an elbow connected to a CAI or something tricky?

 

I wont be installing it to soon. I want to buy the car timing cover and accessories first. I also need to buy the fuel rails. the CAI will be a trick piece! Hood scoop and an air box!!!!

Edit: I got to looking on ebay and there is a used set of 4g fuel rails. I hadn't seen these before, but look like they would be easy to modify into some crazy cool looking rails.

 

I'll be posting pics for sure! I am SSSOOO looking forward to the tear down day! When all the mods are bolted up and the tuning begins! I also have a paint job in the mix too! remember I love show and go!!!!LOL

 

Got some more goodies! A battery relocation kit,Electric fan,fan install kit,oil cooler, and the radiator hose adapter for the coolant temp sensor for the fan! These are the less expensive parts!LOL

 

I just struck gold! Found a timing cover from a 300 for $59!!!! AWESOME!!!
