The long awaited transformation has begun.

My new motor build will begin without the truck being in the shop.

Located a 5.7 block to tear down and get to the machine shop for some TLC.

New heads are being ported and polished. Crank, Rods and Pistons on the shelf waiting the return of the block. New (crazy) cam ordered.

Ya know... For what it is worth... All these 545 tranz that keep messing up... I might just look into the Nag1 swap. The Jeep and LX guys don't seem to have any problems.. I was at the track a few weeks back and there was a Charger making pass after pass.. hitting the juice...chirping tires with street slicks.. He was running high 11's all day.... Not one single problem...

I wonder what all would be involved in a swap..

I figure driveshaft..mount..electronics..tuneing..

But those tranz don't have the speed sensor...therefor they won't work hua? Still wanna look into it. Maybe by nw someone has that problem solved..or is thinking about it

Think I will go with what ever Marty sez for sure. I did something wrong a few weeks back and I have the truck so far out of tune it isn't even funny.. It will start now but after the idle goes down to 700 it goes real rich and stalls. I have taken the plugs out 2 times to clean already.. Check out these codes...An can't get rid of them

p0406 ex gas recirculation sensor a curcuit high

p0403 ex gas recir control curcuit

p3449 cyl 7 deactivation/intake valve control curcuit

p3441 cyl 6 deactivation/intake valve control curcuit

p3425 cyl 4 deactivation/intake valve control curcuit

p3401 cyl 1 deactivation/intake valve control curcuit

p0300 random misfire detected

That sux.......I hope its something major and not some little something that has caused this. All the work for something little would pi$$ me off.
