2014 Ram 1500 5.7. Started having a bad shake on Thursday. Had AutoZone run a diagnostic test. #5 ignition coil or spark plugs. Changed ignition coil and shake went away. Just ran to the store and the shake is back as well as the service engine light. Is it common for new coils to fail or can bad plugs cause the ignition coil to fail. I'm lost and frustrated.

I would check the actual electrical connection make sure you have no cracked or broken wires.
I think I found the problem. The connector wasn't totally connected. Realized the red "clip" didn't lock. I'll know tomorrow when I go to work. Thanks for the response
