Hemi swap problem

Hey guys, little bit of an issue here. I'm swapping out my old Hemi for a new(er) one since mine spun a bearing. I'm at the point of hoisting it out but one last part is causing me issues. According to Haynes for my specific truck, it mentions an axle isolator bracket and I assume that is the piece that connects the engine to the axle and on to the transmission. It says nothing about removing the front differential but simply states "remove the axle isolator bracket". My problem is that the three bolts holding the bracket to the axle are insanely hard to turn so I'm unsure if I'm doing things right or not. I can't reach where it bolts to the engine so skipping this part isn't seemingly in the cards unless I'm missing something. Either way, the only bolts I have left are those three. Am I supposed to take weight off with the hoist first or just muscle through this thing? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you can't get to those MM bolts just unbolt the rear of the racket form the trans. then remove the Motor mount to frame bolts and pull the mount out still attached to the engine. Its a bit squirrely to get it to clear, but you can get it out that way. :thumb:
Good luck

Hey guys, sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner. But yeah it's 4x4 and here are a few pics of what I'm referring to. Actually I'm not sure how to post pictures on here. But yeah I just wasn't sure if I just muscle through those 3 bolts or not. I can't reach the 4 mounted directly to the engine because of that specific bracket being in the way

I think I found out why they are soooooo friggin tough. Got one out so far and it kept clicking as I forced it out. There was blue **** in the threads which I'm guessing is loc-tite or something similar :/ Would it be beneficial to heat up the bolts with a torch or something?

Alright everything came out good and now I'm getting ready to drop in but am curious about just a couple things..
1. Does the new flywheel have to balanced to the tranny? Like when you remove the drive plate and have to mark its location. I have a used flywheel already attached to the motor but should I swap them out with the older one?
2. Pictures following but as per the wiring harness... The motor I am putting in has everything hooked up already except where it was detached from. Would it be possible to splice all the wires in the primary portion right behind the engine instead of individually splicing farther back on top of the tranny at each connection? Thumb is pointing to section on replacement engine and red tag is the same location on the currently attached to truck. Reason I ask is simply reaching the wires fixed to the tranny via clips.
Thank you again

Ok last thing for now. I have the motor in just not bolted test but in as far as I ceb get it. For some reason I have about a .5 inch gap between the tranny and engine and fear I've already lightly stripped one bolt hole trying to force it on one side. Any tips on how to get the damn thing to just seal? It's all lined up properly as far as I can tell, it's just not going all the way on the guide pins for some reason

you just gotta work at it looks like the trans is low in the picture or motor is high. also make sure the flywheel is not digging into the converter assembly mine kept getting stuck there. once you have the inline finger start the bigger 16mm headed bolts from the eng into the trans once both started just go back and forth.

Was off it a couple days doing last minute Christmas stuff but back at it tonight. I have a 2x4 I've been using to jog it back towards the tranny but it seems like the whole thing is moving. Like something is just in between the two. The flywheel is free but is there something on the center spline of the tranny that needs to be aligned as well? Like something I need to turn the crank to line up?

I think so

I sure hope they are. I got the motor through partslocator dot com and selected my exact vehicle for fitment. The only thing different on this one was the mounts. The mounts on my original were 4x4 and attached to the front axle. The mounts on this replacement were basic rwd and just the rubber centered. My truck has brackets on the mounts that attach to the motor and the replacement did not.

Hey guys... Sorry it's been a few days but just put all my time into the replacement. Anyways, everything went good, had it all hooked up and it started then just died after about 5 seconds now it won't even turn over or push fuel. Like it's dead from the ignition on. Interior stuff works just nothing ignition wise. Any ideas?
