Howdy all,

Weird issue. When I rotate the light switch to "off", the headlights will not turn off. And, when I shut the engine down, the headlights turn off, but the parking lights stay on, and I get the Chime when I open the door that my lights are on. I leave the rotary switch in "auto" now so the lights will turn off when I shut the engine off.

I am thinking a bad ground may be the issue, but I welcome input.

Thank you in advance!

The way the gen3 worked was the multifunction switch terminated different values to ground which a control module read as commands. Headlights on, off, high, low, running lights on, off ... when there was a problem usually it was the multifuntion switch.

Hi Redtruck, Thank you for the reply. I'll pull the knob off and try some spray contact cleaner in there and see of that helps!

Update to my headlight issue:

Removed the switch module, and opened it up. One of the little "finger" contacts had broken off, so unable to fix.

New one on order, should be here in a few days.

Everyone stay safe!

Hi Greg, thank you!

Cool that the Mopar engineers designed a headlight control module that pops out, and has a connector (as opposed to screw terminals) so it is simple to change out.

How that little "finger" broke off the original is a mystery.

Cheers!
