I picked up one of the $30 (old) models. They work well as long as you have an accurate weight for your truck. My QC/SB weighed in at 5760 lbs. with me (175 lbs), my 17 month-old son(25 lbs), 20 lbs of random crap in the cab, and 23 gals. of gas. You can adjust the weight according to the amount of gas (8 lbs/gal) or other stuff/mods in your truck. The dry weight of a QC/SB is probably around 5350 lbs +/- 25 lbs, although you might want to add another 25 lbs if you have the OEM 20" wheels (I've got the 17's). My best runs showed 294 hp, 6.68 sec 0-60, and 15.18 @ 91 mph for 1/4 mile at around 35 deg. F. The dyno only gave me 276 hp, but that was SAE corrected and run in 2nd gear, which will apparently give numbers that are a little low. SO, yes the GTech works, but it's up to you whether you want to drop around two bills for the extra measurements on the new model (the old model only calculates hp, not torque).
