Well... Dropped it back off at the machine shop again.
Found a cam bearing slightly off with about 25% of the bearing covering the oil passage hole. Also cam didnt turn easily.

Did you clock the rear oil hole at 5 o'clock? What are your thoughts about doing this?

#397 ·
Well.. Picked up a new cam for the build.. Not gonna use the 6.4
Gonna use something different.
Its a secret so dont ask.
I truly want to be the first to use this cam

Ahhhh the best way to keep a secret is not to tell anyone there is a secret to begin with. You're busting to tell..... lol

Finnally figured out what was wrong... Crank was ever so slightly bent. Put it on a crank bending machine and its spins true now. No drag when it spins in the mot either.. Will finish short block this weekend

That happens more often then folks would guess. A simple roll on the floor will bend it. Well done in catching it.

My wife dropped mine twice on its side from standing straight up. Luckily I put it in had a small grab took out and got lucky found tiny ding on edge of main journal on crank filed of spun smooth. Figured she may have made a $1000 mistake got lucky myself

That certainly looks different...
