The Explorer Limited was OK, but it had all sortsa weird issues - overhauled transmission @ 14,000, intermittent audio and GPS. So what did I do? This:

Automotive parking light Dodge nitro Wheel Vehicle registration plate Car

2020 Explorer ST in Rapid Red. 400 horses, 415 "torques" as Jeremy Clarkson puts it. Same miles as the Limited. Better-than-decent deal, considering the current climate. No funny transmission antics or audio/GPS weirdness.

Kate and I are driving to NY in July for her class reunion with a stop at Arlington to visit my Dad's grave. This one will be a tad more comfortable for the 2,600 mile ride, plus all that thrust is truly a hoot.

Just call me "Claire" (Voyant, that is ;) ). This thing is proving to be quite the transportation module. 2,593 miles. Enough thrust to get away from trouble, comfortable enough for twelve hours in the saddle. 24.4 mpg trip average, 26.2 best mpg. Even the GPS routed us around a complete blockage of I-81 south and took us through some very nice country roads back to the interstate past the blockage.
