Changed my diff fluid last night (Amsoil 75w-90), when I cleaned the diff out i found this..
I'm assuming these are clutch pieces from the lsd since the gears look fine...

The limited slip won't last forever especially with the power you're pushing.

Now will you get a detroit locker?

How about a picture of the gears?

didn't have my phone with me when I was underneath, I rolled the wheels an watched the gears rotate...they looked good. I know an adjustment has to be made because when it comes down from 3rd to 2nd the is a clang in the rear end,,,

those look just like the plates that go between the clutches. I am sure you could get a rebuild kit if you wanted to but it will just happen again.

I think its time for a DTT or something else.
I am happy with my Auburn but it may not be good enough for the racing you do.

I think he had it rebuilt once before at around 100K. Even still he got his money's worth.

I hope he finally puts a full locker in that beast. He'll hook up better at the track and get out of the hole better.

it's actually the original lsd...still runs fine but I know I need to replace it...am looking at dtt's though, anyone know best price to find it?

That's a limited slip Fred.

You really want a full locker.

Just got to be a little careful around corners in the rain etc. Otherwise there is no downside and all plus's for the track and they way we all know you like to drive.

Fred, i ran a locker a long time ago and it would point the truck a little under partial throttle. Not really what you want under some conditions. I now use a DTT in Redtruck and it works flawlessly. It locks instantly with no side effects. Plus it looks like with the price from Summit being over $500 you will get $50 back.
Good luck..
