ok I'm finally installing an ATI damper like I should have done years ago. which bolt should be used for the crank? the washer on the factory bolt is too big to go into the recessed hole in the ATI balancer.

the new crank bolt i have is for the 04 truck motor. does an aftermarket bolt or a bolt from a different year or model need to be used? I appreciate any input as I am on the road a lot and I don't have much time to run around town parts hunting.

The truck timing cover and the car timing cover I believe use different dampers. It would be a good idea to check with ATI and MMX(Modern Muscle Extreme) to confirm you have the correct damper and hub for your application.

yes I have the correct damper. looking for info on the proper bolt/washer.

They have the most experience to help you track down the bolt for your ATI damper.

The correct Installer is called a long reach balancer installer. Snap on has them and the parts trucks normally. It has a bearing driver that makes install easy. You will need to clearance an ATI hub first.

I just ended up buying the ati bolt.
