Hi All,

Had a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 extended cab until Jan 1 2007, wife talked me into trading her in for a 2006 Dodge Durango. Nice little "truck", but just not for me.

Sooooooooo last Tuesday, I went out and traded in the mini dodge for a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 extended cab w/ H-E-M-I !!!! and now as you all know it is time to MOD!!

First things first! Cold air intake and a good spacer. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated before I make final decision.

I e-mailed Duane Garrett a few minutes ago to ask if what I am thinking about ordering will would work together. Want to make sure it will all fit before I drop more cash, which will place me firmly in the dog house OR on the couch for a week or more

I have also read mention that many of you have ordered and installed the 3rd strike intakes, but I am at a total loss as to which one most of you have purchased. The straight pipe single filter one OR the "Y" shaped dual filter one???

Anyhow, I am glad that I have found you all. Looks like a lot of great information and late nights reading are in my near future.

and to the hemi family. Dont forget to get yourself a superchip (checkout the for sale forum, you can get it cheaper there from a member) CAI I have straight pipe, no probs and dynatech headers and cats w/ fm hd40 muffler. You know its a hemi when I start it up!

Again welcome to the family.

I think you could do without spacer as there isn't any power gain with it unless you really want one. The single filter CAI is what I would go with.

It's been tried on many hemis and never been proven. That's like the tornado intake thingy. Save your money. They might help other makes but with our set up on the hemi it does nothing. Remember there statement s are stating UP TO but nothing actually.

A good CAI, superchips or if Diablo comes out, and cat back exhaust and then let the rest of the modding begin.
