It’s never to early to start looking into this. We have a lot of new people on here would be nice to put faces to. I know we talked about moving rally to spring of fall for cooler weather. Ideas of times and places please post them up.

we are going to do our best to make it next year. I would like to throw out New Orleans, LA for a possible location.

Cooler would be a good thing. Maybe fall. I was wondering is there a location that might be more central to the populas of the group . I do like NOLA but 800 miles one way is a no go for me. Unless these gas prices change then I may reconsider the subject.
New Orleans sure isn't cooler.
It is in October.
Y'all are correct, N'Awlins is not cooler !! We have 2 seasons..hot and humid then less humid but still hot. If this place is chosen please consider that in the city itsself crime rate is sky high and so are the attempted car jackings. Hotel rates are expensive and you WILL pay for parking at the hotel because they do not have parking garages or parking lots.

I am glad you brought that up . I had forgotten about all the crime in NOLA. My uncle and I would go to Leeville every year in October to go fishing. Every morning we would go across the street and watch the news ALWAYS 3to 6 murders a night. If I were to tried to be RAM jacked either myself or the thief are gonna die because I will NOT willing give up my truck. Plus ALL the gun free zones in NOLA are NOT working. What about Louisville, Cincinnati, Indy, or St.Louis?
St.Louis I can get free oil changes. LOL
Well Nola is out then lol

I'm not trying to deter anyone from coming to N'Awlins, I just want the member's to make informed choices. Louisiana doesn't really have weather seasons its just plain hot down here.I know there is crime everywhere and just that some states have more than others. Any hotels in or near the French Quarter or Central Business District ( CBD) are going to be expensive and there is no such thing as free parking and I know how most member's feel about giving over the keys to their truck to a valet service. Restaurants in the Quarter are not reasonable or cheap and honestly there are places in out lying areas that are way better and more affordable. And depending on what "attraction" you wish to attend the admission price won't be cheap either. And for the fact checkers and verifiers out there please feel free to use the source of your choice.

Chattanooga has quite a variety of interesting things, Honest Charley's Coker Museum, Lookout Point, all sorts of museums. There is even a museum/Hall of Fame dedicated to tow trucks. Check it out.

Here's a thought that might be cool in several ways. 1st October during the 1st 2 weeks of the month are "normally" good weather throughout the country, after that it is anyone's guess on weather. 2nd why not pick a section of Route 66 for the next number of years so a high percentage of it could be covered by those that want to have a part of the "mother road" covered with our RAMs. Personally I have covered a lot of it but have not been from St.Louis to Chicago or Flagstaff to L.A.

Texas is know for speed and trucks
Anymore thoughts or suggestions for the rally this year? We have been so busy that we have fallen out of the loop. Hopefully things are slowing down for us a little bit that we can take some time to think about a vacation.
Someone mentioned St. Louis. Warlord talked about high crime in Louisiana. St. Louis is rated #1 as the most violent city in the US. There is nowhere safe there at all. When we travel through Missouri we try to avoid St. Louis as much as possible.
I'm ready to get the heck out of dodge!!!!
I also realize this is several months out but it gives me something to look forward to. :giggle:
